Summer is here, and so is the Reading Challenge, some brilliant events, and a couple of fun dates for the diary.

June is flying by, and we've been loving every moment of Pride Month here at The Old Library!

The Old Library is delighted to announce its Summer Fun programme, six weeks of themed craft sessions for children aged 3 to 10, running every Thursday from 23 July through to 27 August 2026. Taking place each week at The Old Library, Skircoat Green, the sessions are designed to spark creativity, imagination, and a love of making. With a new theme each week, there's something for every young explorer, from artistic adventures to hands-on building challenges.

Sadly, due the the recent developments in the Middle East the BBC had to cancel their visit to us and go to Manchester airport instead. They've said they'd like to reschedule - so watch this space!
