📰 Library News: Upcoming Literary Dates

Celebrate a season of reading this April with a range of upcoming literary and cultural dates, including World Book Night and World Book and Copyright Day.

As we move through April, there are several exciting dates to celebrate—perfect opportunities to discover new books and enjoy the benefits of reading. 📚

On 21 April, World Creativity and Innovation Day highlights the importance of imagination and new ideas, something that books inspire every day. This is followed by Earth Day on 22 April, a great chance to explore titles focused on nature, the environment, and our planet.

A key highlight is World Book Night on 23 April, alongside World Book and Copyright Day. These celebrations recognise the joy of reading, the value of books, and the impact of authors around the world. It’s an ideal time to pick up something new, revisit an old favourite, or share a love of reading with others.

Here at the library, we’ll be marking these occasions with themed displays and a selection of recommended reads to inspire your next visit.
